It didn’t take a lot to get them going. But Gerry and Sean could get into character and really have a go at Gerry Adams, Gregory Campbell, Daniel O’Donnell, Stephen Nolan or Jackie Fullerton, to name a few.
They had a great way of pinpointing the unique character, eccentricities or turn of phrase that each of their subjects had. And they could brilliantly place them in a scenario that amplified their foibles even more.
The result was mass hilarity broadcast over the air waves. We have heard from listeners who had to pull their car, bus or lorry over to the verge for safety, as tears of laughter rolled down their face.

They didn’t spare anyone. From the lofty politician to the beginner jogger who had a ‘funny run’. All were carefully observed and stored away for future conversations or sketches.
And I know I am not alone in wondering about what they would have done with the material available today. There is certainly no shortage!

Classic comedy repartee from Gerry and Sean. Miss the great double act
I loved your father and Sean Coyle’s banter especially when your Da was free wheeling with random callers. He did a great piece on an old friend of mine Gerry McGeough aka No Dicket No Doat!
